I've have a new favorite author. I recently read
and I found myself captivated be Henry VIII and his court. Being a history and english major this book had me hooked on two levels. I found myself "googling" parts of the history to see what happens next. Once I finished that I moved on to the next book in the Tudor series.
This book takes place after the death of King Edward (Jane's son) and now Queen Mary is fighting for her rightful throne. Sense and Sensibility has been pushed aside, but I am almost finished. Sorry, book club members I just can't put these books down. However, they did get me out of my reading slump.
On a side note: I watched the movie "The Other Boleyn Girl" and I was really disappointed. It was not well done. Key parts of the movie were left out. I highly recommend the book, the movie you can pass on. It's one of those "The book is better than the movie."
